Highlights at cultural industries fair

Hall 1:

The 30,000-square-meter Hall 1, the comprehensive cultural industry exhibition hall, will showcase the latest achievements of cultural industries in provinces and municipalities and achievements in cultural reforms since the 12th Five-year Plan period (2011-2015), especially since the 18th National Congress of the CPC Central Committee.

The leading cultural enterprises, especially State-owned cultural enterprises such as OCT and top 30 cultural enterprises, key export-oriented cultural enterprises and outstanding cultural parks and bases will show their products in Hall 1.

Hall 6

An auction of 87 sets of comic books including 24 sets of manuscripts dated back between the 1950s and 1990s will be held at 4 p.m. Saturday in Hall 6.

The manuscripts were made and maintained by well-known artists such as Hua Sanchuan, Dong Xiaoming, Lu Yanguang and Li Chen.

Art galleries and agencies from the U.S., France, Russia, Israel, Ukraine, Canada and Taiwan region will display oil paintings, prints, sculptures, and Chinese paintings in Hall 6.

Hall 3

Hall 3 will exhibit the latest achievements and technologies in movie making by inviting 27 movie and animation exhibitors to the fair.

The China Movie Exhibition Area inside the hall will bring 4-D and a huge screen and invite visitors to experience virtual video graphing and VR technologies. CITIC Investment Holdings Ltd. will bring an automatic virtual 3-D projected environment for visitors.

The hall also designates an exhibition area for animation making and culture-related high-tech enterprises, where CCTV Animation, Fantawild, Net Movie Holdings Ltd., Shehot Animation, and Mr. Magic will play their products for visitors.

Arts festival

The organizer will organize an arts festival to mark the ICIF with 22 performances including concerts, a traditional stage play and dances to be held at Shenzhen Concert Hall, Shenzhen Grand Theater, Shenzhen Poly Theater and Shenzhen Children’s Palace.

At least 10 percent of the tickets for the performances are priced below 100 yuan (US$14.48) to benefit fans.
